It's been a turbulent start to the season for FC Barcelona. Ernesto Valverde is still searching for an XI which will provide the stability the team needs to generate positive results.
La cantera sigue pidiendo paso ante el Valencia
The squad has been impacted by injuries to several of their stars, particularly across the frontline. The solution to this can be found from within, from the budding list of youngsters who are desperate to impress.
ANSU FATI IS PART OF THE TEAM
Lionel Messi will remain on the sidelines for the match against Valencia and as such, Valverde won't be able to turn to his star man. Messi will be joined in the stands by Ousmane Dembele. Luis Suarez is still hoping to be available this weekend but is considered a major doubt right now. This means Ansu Fati will remain part of the first team squad.
After Ansu made his debut against Betis and scored his first official goal against Osasuna, he's firmly in Valverde's plans. The 16-year-old has done more than enough to justify his continued selection whilst the main stars are unavailable. The only decision to be made is whether he starts or makes do with a place on the bench.
CARLES PÉREZ IS THE ONLY WINGER AVAILABLE
With Rafinha loaned out to Betis, Carles Perez is the only wide option available to Valverde at the moment. Perez has spent this week with Spain's U21 side along with Carles Aleña. Both are expected to return to training on Wednesday despite being given permission to have another day off.
After Barça's best performance of the season against Betis, Ansu and Perez would be the ideal options to flank Griezmann. The two young stars are enjoying a dream run with the first team and they don't want to waste any opportunity which comes their way. La Masia is providing a solution to Barça's current problems.
